Today we are going to introduce you to the best hotels in Wroclaw! After we already created an overview of best accommodations in Wroclaw, we want to zoom in a little bit deeper here and show you our personal hotel recommendations for Wroclaw.
We used a lot of input from friends, family and colleagues here who used to stay in hotels in Wroclaw, but in some of them we have been ourselves before we moved to Wroclaw.
Of course we have hotels from all different price categories, not only luxury hotels and wellness hotels, but also budget hotels and some which are really suitable for families and larger groups. Budget hotels that we recommend start around 180 PLN per night, middle-class hotels are available around 240-380 PLN and five-star luxury hotels in Wroclaw start from already 380 PLN.

Our Favourites: Best Hotels in Wroclaw
We will be starting with our favourite hotels in Wroclaw, let us name them „Allrounder“. They are located in the city centre, just on the edge to the old town, so everything is close and within walkable distance. In addition with these recommendations you have another really cool district just in front of your home.
The HP Park Plaza Hotel Wroclaw
The HP Park Plaza Hotel Wroclaw is located just between the old town and the alternative Nadodrze district, at the beautiful Słodowa Island. We believe this is one of the best hotels in Wroclaw when it comes to location but also in terms of price-value-ratio this is our top pick.
Some of our recommendations for great coffee places are in this area, our little city walk on German traces starts just here and one of the best ice-cream shops in Europe is literally 3 minutes away. To get into the old town (at the University entrance) it will just take you 5 Minutes of walking and to the Cathedral Island it will be 5-10 Minutes only.
Friends reported that they found the most cozy beds here ever! And if you want to have an individual breakfast far away from the buffet in a more cozy setting, our breakfast recommendation Pomiędzy cafe&bistro is just 3 Minutes away.
For whom? Just everybody, including larger groups and families

The PURO Hotel in Wroclaw´s Four Temple District
This is just another recommendation of a great hotel just on the edge towards the old town, directly in the middle of the vibrant Four Denomination District. In front of your door you have some of the finest wine bars, restaurants and pubs.
And to the Wroclaw Market Square you just walk around 5 Minutes, so still absolutely central. If you feel the need to go further outside of the city, they have a free bicycle rental! The design is kept in a very modern but fresh way, colourful and young but during the week you can easily meet business travellers here as well.
Before we lived in Wroclaw we stayed here ourselves and can recommend it. As personally we are not the biggest fans of breakfast in any hotel, directly next to it you can enjoy a cozy breakfast at Bułka z Masłem as alternative to the Hotel breakfast (which is solid too!)

City Centre Hotels of Wroclaw (Old Town)
You prefer to stay in the city centre of Wroclaw? Like directly in the old town? Of course that is no problem either and we have prepared a selection of hotels in the old town of Wroclaw here for you.
With them you have guaranteed just a distance of a stone throwing to the Market Square and are able to start your daily adventure from there.
But keep in mind, all hotels in this post are within walkable distance to the Market Square – the following ones are just in very, very close proximity to it, probably all just max 3 Minutes away.
The Art Hotel Wroclaw
Just 2 Minutes away from the Market Square this one is a super central and beautiful pick to make.
The design is kept in a very warm and cozy country style, so you will easily feel home. On top of that the kitchen has very good levels and we enjoyed a nice dinner here before.
Especially couples and families will feel welcome here, just one of the reasons we mentioned the Art Hotel again below in our selection for the romantic hotels in Wroclaw.
But apart from that, even business travellers or solo travellers should not feel excluded here 🙂

The KORONA Hotel at the Market Square
Wait a sec, a hotel with the name KORONA? Wasn‘t there something… It reminds me… Yes exactly! But this hotel does exist already some time longer and we even have a KORONA Shopping Mall. So much to be said about the name.
You won‘t get much closer to the Market Square with a nice hotel, unless you can sleep directly in the office of the city president in the town hall 🙂
Very solid and great quality, a colleague of us has stayed here and would recommend it again, especially price and value are balanced here.
Great for families too as you won‘t have much of distance to anything and can stay at reasonable prices.
For whom? All people who want to be in the middle of everything

Europeum Hotel Wroclaw
As result of a hint we received from one of our blog readers, we have just recently added the EUROPEUM Hotel in Wroclaw. The really central location of it qualifies it to be in this categories of old town hotels in Wroclaw, although you still have to cross the street and within 3 minutes you are at the Salt Square.
There are rooms already starting from 50 EUR per night, hence it is not only a good central location but also very competitively priced compared to other hotels close by.
The rooms are very modern, there is an underground parking garage (but a bit tight from what we heard) and also the ratings and recommendations speak for themselves.
For whom? Everybody who like the best price-value ratio!

Luxury Hotels in Wroclaw (Five-Star)
What about a little bit more luxury? No problem as we have prepared some great recommendations for luxury hotels in Wroclaw as well! All of these are classified as five-star hotels by the way.
They are all in a good location and close to the city centre, let us kick it off with the first luxury hotel we recommend:
The Monopol Hotel in Wroclaw
We could say this is the „classic“ option. The Monopol was established in 1892 and still has it’s original name – this is quite unusual as most buildings from the German times of the city were renamed. Guests like Marlene Dietrich or Pablo Picasso have already stayed here – so you will just add yourself onto this list of celebs 😉
This five star hotel in Wroclaw is just next to the Opera and the National Forum of Music, walking to the Market Square won‘t take you much more than 5 Minutes too. From the rooftop terrace you are able to enjoy nice views towards the city and a spa area is available too, of course. However one of the guests we know commented that it would be quite time for a renovation of that…

The Bridge-Hotel on the Cathedral Island
Especially if you do not want to stay in the very middle of the city because of noise or other reasons, we can recommend you an amazing option to stay in a great luxury hotel in Wroclaw – the Bridge Hotel on the Cathedral Island. Here we created a little video about the great location.
With their opening in 2019, this is certainly the youngest and most modern five star hotel in Wroclaw which you are able to book, so you can definitely look forward to a lot of comfort and amenities. They already got a couple of awards in that short time, and even the price-value ratio is really interesting as rooms are already available from 440 PLN onwards! Where else is that possible for a 5 star hotel?
Especially couples love this hotel as the surrounding Cathedral Island is one of the most romantic places in Wroclaw, the view towards the Cathedral is just breathtaking. But obviously, also business travellers and all other people will find happiness here for sure and we highly recommend it to everybody!
In the evenings, you won‘t have the noise from main roads or big party areas in front of the hotel, but you will be able to observe the romantic scenes of the lamplighter on duty and lighting up all the gas lamps. And with the Craft Restaurant inside of the hotel, their signature cocktails on the bar, and the extensive spa offering (with amazing views over the city, of course!) it is very tempting to simply stay the whole weekend in the hotel and enjoy wellness time! If Wroclaw just would not have so many other interesting sights…
Walking towards the Old Town from here is another highlight, as that short 15 minute walk is just beautiful, crossing Cathedral Island, the Cathedral Bridge, Sand Bridge, the Oder River promenade, the Market Hall and some other great sightseeing places. That makes it super central, but just in a more quiet surrounding area.
Compared to the other 5 star hotels in Wroclaw, we certainly would prefer it here to relax and feel decelerated, simply enjoying the peaceful vibes here.
For whom? Luxury lovers who like to stay in peace

The Hotel Doubletree by Hilton in the OVO Building
Another modern and luxurious option quite close to the city centre is the Doubletree by Hilton, it is located just next to the Galeria Dominikańska which means also here everything is in walkable distance.
In addition we recommend it as one of the best Wellness Hotels in Wroclaw, further below you will find a picture of the great pool. In the OVO building, which looks quite fancy and a bit like a big ship, there are multiple restaurants of which we have tried a couple as well, for example the Czech place. An ETNO Café is in the building if you need some good coffee.
A beautiful park is right next to the hotel and main things to see in Wroclaw like the Panorama Racławice or the Odra Centrum are almost in front of the door.
For whom? People who love modern design and… luxury!

The Wyndham Hotel Wroclaw (former Sofitel)
Well, you won’t be able to find any other 5-star hotel so close to the Market Square Wroclaw! But not only the location just next to the St. Elisabeth Church is a great positive aspect about the Wyndham Hotel, also the rooms are very modern and for that mix of luxury and location the rooms are even starting from 69 Euro per night, of course depending on the season and demand.
Don’t get confused – it used to be the Sofitel Old Town Wroclaw which had closed down during the pandemic – but we are happy to see that under new ownership it is back to life! Actually this is also one of the most booked hotels recently by our visitors!
For whom? People who like to stay at great rates close to the centre!

The Altus Palace Hotel
One of the latest additions to the Five-Star-Hotels in Wroclaw is the Altus Palace Hotel. It has opened in August 2022 after many years of renovation period, as the building used to be a real Palace (Leipziger Palace). The location is perfect at the edge of old town, just between the city centre and the train station and next to the city moat.
The rooms are spacious, the spa area looks very welcoming and people we know that stayed here were very happy overall with their experience. This is a true luxury hotel in Wroclaw and if you rather go for something more modern compared to e.g. the traditional Monopol Hotel, this is your choice!
For whom? People who like to stay in palaces and historic places!

Romantic Hotels in Wroclaw
A little bit further above, we already have introduced you to the Art Hotel as part of our recommendations for the city centre, but we strongly believe that it has a place here at the most romantic hotels in Wroclaw too. Who likes to live centrally in a romantic country style hotel, should definitely check out the Art Hotel again. Good, and now another recommendation for you!
Sleepwalker Boutique Suites Hotel
Staying at the Sleepwalker Boutique Hotel means staying in a cozy real tenement house of Wroclaw.
As you can see, it is a quite small place, but the rooms are beautifully and quite romantically decorated – although definition of romantic is always very subjective as we know.
We suggest to check out the pictures from the inside and then make a decision if this is the one for you. Just to be aware – the hotel is located at a quite busy road, but we can definitely recommend it as per feedback from other blog readers.

Wellness Hotels in Wroclaw
For your stay in Wroclaw you want to find the best Wellness Hotel with swimming pool, spa area, fitness room or gym, maybe also a massage? Great, then here we do have some wellness recommendations for you where you don‘t have to think if the spa area is sufficient, these are the best ones we have!
The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton
As mentioned above, the Doubletree has an amazing Spa area. Just relax and enjoy your life here, in our opinion for a luxury hotel here you have the best price-value ratio. And if you want to be close to the city centre, this is your obvious choice!
The Zamek Topacz Castle Hotel
A real Spa paradise embedded in a huge park is waiting at the Topacz Castle Hotel, just 10km outside of Wroclaw and often used for weddings and family events. Although it is further out, we recommend to check it out – a great city getaway even.
The AC Hotel by Marriot
A highly modern swimming pool with sauna, gym, massage and other wellness offers is available in the AC Hotel directly next to the National Music Forum.
Although this four star hotel has already price levels from a five star hotel, we still recommend it for a good combination of wellness and city holidays. There is plenty to do, first during workout, then just relaxing, and then exploring the city from here!
Budget Hotels in Wroclaw
In our Budget Hotel section we have two things for you – first of all hotel recommendations where we know you get good value for a very competitive price, let us call them consistently proven budget hotels.

Budget Hotel at the train station: Piast Hotel Wroclaw
If you decide to take the train to Wroclaw and probably even arrive late in the evening, then this is the best advice for you – as the Hotel Piast is located just opposite of the main train station in Wroclaw. That means 15 Minutes of walking to the main square, however you will have great tram connections to every corner of the city.
The Piast is a solid and good two star hotel, and assuming you don‘t want to spend most of your day in the room but explore Wroclaw, this should be very sufficient in many cases.
Just be aware it is at the main station, it might be a bit noisy sometimes, talking about trams…
For whom? Train travellers, but really everbody else too

Ibis Hotel Wroclaw Centrum - as allrounder
On the other side of the train station, still very central, you find the Ibis Centrum Hotel.
Here you get a perfect price-value ratio, amazing breakfast, huge rooms, and are connected to public transport very well.
Also popular among business travellers, a great allrounder hotel we absolutely recommend!
For whom? Everybody who does not need to stay at the Market Square

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Wroclaw
Great location, almost directly at the Oder river promenade. This is the first hotel we ever stayed in Wroclaw by the way! Perfect for a little walk in the morning along the riverside, probably to the office… Old Town is very close too!
The Scandic Hotel in Wroclaw
South of the city centre, you can find the Scandic Hotel in between the main train station and the Market Square. We could try the breakfast here with some colleagues once and they recommended the hotel without any doubts.
