URIAH HEEP + April Wine
Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Uriah Heep are proud to announce the European leg of “The Magician’s Farewell” tour, during which the Brits will perform their only concert in Poland! To celebrate together the 55-year career of one of the most important rock bands of all time, we invite you on November 9 to Wroclaw’s Orion Hall. Canadian band April Wine will play as a special guest.
Uriah Heep founder and guitarist Mick Box comments: “Who would have thought that it’s already been 55 years since the band was founded? I know that a large part of you have been with us since the beginning. Well, the years aren’t getting any shorter for us, so we had to make the decision to stop playing world tours.
Under the very appropriate title “The Magician’s Farewell” we will begin our last tour. This will not be one of those long, drawn-out farewells. Over the next 2 / 3 years, we will try to play as many concerts as we can to meet you all there for the last time. I would also like to emphasize that we will still try to perform after this tour, but these will most likely be limited to one festival or similar events.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the band, I would like to thank you for the tremendous support you have given us over the years, it means a lot to us. I look forward to our reunion!”
Uriah Heep is, along with the now-defunct Black Sabbath and the active Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and Yes, a band that upholds the tradition and quality of original progressive hard rock, formed in the UK in the late 1960s, with a key moment in 1970. It was then that the formation’s debut album, “Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble,” was released, ranking among the most important albums of British heavy metal and undoubtedly influencing the definition of a genre that conquered the 1970s and solidified in the following decade.
Uriah Heep’s longevity is a testament written through prolific songwriting, spectacular live performances and tireless determination to achieve their goals. The term “legend” is used far too often, but it’s simply not appropriate to speak of the Brits otherwise. The group’s 55 years of activity have been a veritable roller coaster, which is best reflected in the numbers: 25 studio albums, 21 live albums, more than 45 million records sold and more than 4,000 concerts played in 60 countries. From their debut, “Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble,” to the last in their discography, “Chaos & Colour,” released 2 years ago, Uriah Heep have delivered hard rock filled with great melodies and complex harmonies every time.
