Vertigo Birthday Week: Buena Vista in the Rhythm of Havana – live in Wrocław

We warmly invite you to Vertigo in Wrocław for a special live music evening as part of our Birthday Week celebrations. This event is a journey into musical history that began in Havana at the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, a place alive with Cuban rhythms as early as the 1940s. After years of fading into obscurity, its spirit was revived in the late 1990s thanks to Ry Cooder and Wim Wenders’ iconic film, which made the world fall in love with traditional Cuban music once again.

The Cuban Latin Jazz: a tribute to Buena Vista
On this night, Vertigo will come alive with a concert paying tribute to this extraordinary musical phenomenon. The Cuban Latin Jazz ensemble brings together outstanding musicians who authentically capture the essence of classic Havana sounds, while enriching them with elements of modern jazz and Latin music. Expect infectious, danceable rhythms such as cha-cha, mambo, and bolero, alongside nostalgic melodies that evoke the atmosphere of old Cuban streets.
