Rura Jazz University
A concert series whose idea is to create an artistic space for creators, performers, and audiences of improvised music. As part of the series, we will present contemporary jazz music and young artists. The program is addressed to listeners seeking fresh, non-commercial sounds and direct contact with music created in dialogue with the audience. We aim to create a space for WrocĆaw-based instrumentalists and vocalists who, by pursuing their own artistic visions and developing an individual musical language, will present original repertoire and personal artistic concepts, often balancing on the border between jazz and other musical genres. Our project draws on the legacy of the legendary WrocĆaw jazz club Rura – a place of creative freedom, artistic encounters, and musical experimentation – transferring its spirit into the contemporary context of club concerts and regular events. Rura Jazz University focuses on the creative process, dialogue, and development, fostering an environment for the exchange of inspiration between musicians and listeners, and building a recognizable point on the city’s cultural map.
