Avant Art Festival 2025 WROCŁAW

Avant Art Festival is an international event dedicated to experimental music, visual arts, and film, held in Wrocław since 2008. The festival creates a space for artists who cross genre boundaries, merging the avant-garde with independent culture and engaging audiences in experiences that escape traditional concert or exhibition formats.

This year’s edition, taking place in Wrocław from September 4 to 14, carries the motto “more courage, more risk” and emphasizes the DIY spirit, punk energy, and the search for new artistic languages. The program features performances by artists from around the world, including Merzbow, Bernocchi and Iggor Cavalera, Clipping., Slikback, Mopcut feat. Dälek, as well as Polish projects such as Ugory, SKI feat. SWRCFX, and beluga ryba.

Alongside the concerts, there will be children’s workshops, an art exhibition, and film screenings showcasing documentaries and portraits of outstanding cultural figures, from King Crimson and Boy George to Genesis P. Orridge and Tricky. Avant Art is also a manifesto – it treats art as an act of resistance against uniformity and commercialization, highlighting its role in commenting on and transforming reality.

Events will be held in venues such as Piekarnia, Klub Ciało, and Kino Nowe Horyzonty, creating a mosaic of stages and spaces where the avant-garde meets an audience hungry for new experiences.
