A special concert as part of the One Night in Paris tour will take place at the Stary Klasztor club in Wrocław. The stage will welcome GMW play Depeche Mode, an outstanding Polish trio that performs the greatest songs of the legendary band Depeche Mode with passion and craftsmanship. From timeless classics to later compositions, the repertoire is presented in carefully refined arrangements that blend electronic textures, guitar-driven sound, and the deep, expressive vocals of the band’s charismatic frontman. GMW play Depeche Mode – band overview
GMW play Depeche Mode draws from more than 40 years of the band’s legacy, striking a balance between faithfulness to the original material and bold, contemporary reinterpretations. Their versions were featured on the international compilation Songs of Faith and Devotion, released by the German magazine Orkus, earning recognition from both music journalists and fans.

The trio has performed at numerous venues and events, including the Depeche Mode fan club anniversary in Katowice, Fabryka Lloyda in Bydgoszcz, Stary Klasztor, the Podwodny Wrocław festival, and concerts in Ireland. Their interpretations are also available on YouTube, where listeners from around the world praise the band for its strong arrangements, natural performance style, precision, and the unique atmosphere of their live shows.

The name GMW is formed from the surnames of the three band members: Gołębski, Maszyński, and Wełyczko.

Band members

Paweł Gołębski – journalist and radio host, known from the programme Good Morning Wrocław on Radio RAM. During the pandemic, together with his bandmates, he launched a project based on music from the album Violator, recording nine tracks including Enjoy the Silence and Personal Jesus, accompanied by original music videos. The honesty of the project and its distinctive form were met with enthusiastic audience response, quickly leading to demand for live performances.

Waldemar Maszyński – pianist and arranger involved in a wide range of musical projects. He has performed with artists such as Mesajah, Roger Treece, the band Chillove, and Leszek Możdżer. In GMW, he is responsible for the electronic layer of the sound, enriching it with both vintage and modern elements inspired by the Depeche Mode aesthetic.

Marcin Wełyczko – guitarist inspired by masters such as Steve Vai and Allan Holdsworth. Within GMW’s arrangements, he contributes original riffs while also recreating the signature guitar solos of Martin L. Gore, adding depth and fresh energy to the compositions.
