Top Rooftop Bars and Panoramic Viewpoints in Wroclaw

What could be a better place to enjoy beautiful sunsets in Wroclaw, enjoy a cold drink, and just relax, than great rooftop bars in Wroclaw? Today we want to introduce you to the best viewpoints in Wroclaw, and we start with the bars where you can sit, drink, chat and relax above the roofs of Wroclaw.
After that, we will take you to some more demanding spots – where you will need to climb a lot of stairs to really earn the views from the top, can learn more about some legends and more… Or maybe you simply want to enjoy the highest viewpoint in Wroclaw?
Let’s start with one of our favorite rooftop bars of Wroclaw!
1. The Bridge Sky Bar
Let’s get started with The Bridge Sky Bar which is the rooftop bar of The Bridge Hotel on the Cathedral Island.
During the summer season (estimated opening date for 2025 is 16th May), it is open Thursdays to Saturdays from 6pm to 10pm and offers truly breathtaking views of the Oder River, the Cathedral, the Manhattan buildings and the whole skyline of Wroclaw. Of course there are delicious drinks available to enjoy the sunset!
In our humble opinion, this is absolutely the best sunset panorama viewpoint in Wroclaw we have been to so far, nothing else could match the vibes here so far 🙂 Even if it is not the highest point of our recommendations, it is simply the magic when the sun slowly disappears behind the Cathedral, the sun reflections on the water, you have to try it out for yourself.

Just be aware, this is a popular spot, no reservations are taken, and you might need to wait to get a spot. For the dress code, remember, this is a five-star-hotel and not a beach club 🙂

2. Concordia Design Wroclaw Rooftop Bar
Our second favorite when it comes to sunset drinks in Wroclaw is the Concordia Design Rooftop terrace. Here, during the day you can catch a really nice perspective of the city as well – although the sunset is not as spectacular as from the Bridge Hotel Sky Bar.
An elevator takes you to the fifth floor, where you will find great cocktail creations (really good mocktails too!), but also the largest planted green wall in Poland under an open roof.
The building actually got awarded by ArchDaily as “Building of the Year 2021” – so the whole architecture already is worth a visit.

3. Sky Tower Wroclaw
The tallest building in Wroclaw with 212 meters of height must have a viewing platform too!
Take the elevator and in a few seconds you are already up in the sky. The truth though is – yes, you get a quite extensive view, but mostly over residential blocks and new office buildings.
Not our favorite view place, but certainly the highest panoramic view in Wroclaw. And you might be able to see Śnieżka on clear days, and quite surely the Ślęża mountain which we recommend in our day trips here.

Opening hours are typically from 9am to 9pm, depending on the season – here is the official website of the viewing platform where you can purchase tickets online. Decide for yourself if it is worth the price of 49 PLN…
On the weekends, the Sky Bar 49 operates on the 49th floor – we have not tried it out yet, and will update you once we had a chance.

Holiday Apartments in Sky Tower Wroclaw
By the way, you can also rent holiday apartments in the Sky Tower, some of them are equipped with large bath tubs, jacuzzis and more. Great for a romantic getaway in Wroclaw!

4. The Penitents Bridge
Enough of drinks now – we are moving to the traditional viewing points without roof top bars.
This viewpoint of Wroclaw is pretty unique as a little foot bridge connects two church towers – and the name “The Penitents Bridge” actually has a good reason.
While you are climbing upstairs (no elevator available!) to a level of 45 meters, you will find out more about the story that has happened here. All we can tell for now: It involves a girl that did not want to marry, quite the opposite of what her parents had in mind for her. And she ended up with a curse…
During summer season, it is open from 10am to 8pm, make sure to check the latest opening hours before you go here on their website.

5. The Wroclaw Cathedral
The tower of the Wroclaw Cathedral is 97 meters high and operates as a viewing point as well. From here, you have a great view on the Cathedral Island, but also of the Oder River and up to the Centennial Hall.
If you don’t like climbing hundreds of stairs, you might be lucky here – an elevator is available, only a couple of stairs have to be taken by yourself, be mindful of that.
Regular opening hours are 10am to 5pm but be sure to check here on their official page before you go.

6. St. Elizabeth Church
And we got just another church for you – but it will be the last one in our Wroclaw viewpoint recommendations. Say hello to the tallest gothic tower in Poland with almost 92 meters! It is located just across the Market Square, and therefore very hard to miss.
From most parts of Wroclaw, you can see the St. Elizabeth Church, which means that the other way around, you will be able to see most of Wroclaw from this beautiful viewpoint.

Now, let’s talk about the downside 😉 The staircase is really, really narrow and the 300+ steps are seriously steep, just that you don’t say we have not warned you. No, there is no elevator – but every year, on the 1st of April, a slide will help you to get down.
However, the reward on the top is amazing, surely one of the best views towards the Market Square, the whole historic old town and the surrounding Oder River – this is our favorite viewpoint in Wroclaw together with the mathematical tower when it comes just to the view!
Typically it is open from 10am to 5pm, last time we went up, it was one of the very few (medieval) places that would only take cash and not accept card payments.

7. The Mathematical Tower
As part of the University museum, you can get up to the certainly most pretty viewing spot – and apart from the Concordia Design and Sky Tower also one of the most spacious.
The views from this 42 meters high platform are similar like from the St. Elizabeth Church and we love them – also because we can wave to ourselves and can see our apartment 🙂
At each corner, one of the statues represents one of the university faculties. There is no elevator available, but you climb pretty wide stairs mostly, and this is pretty easy. They are open from 10am to 5pm, but closed on Wednesdays – more details here on their page.

8. The Quorum Tower – wait for it!
Currently still under construction is the Quorum Tower which is supposed to have a final height of 140 meters – the soon to be second tallest building in Wroclaw! It is being built close to the Sikorskiego-Bridge and supposed to open in 2027. We will add it once completed 🙂

We hope that you enjoyed our little rooftop tour through Wroclaw! Let us know which is your favorite viewpoint in the comments below, also if you have any other remarks or insights you would like to share!
