Żywiołak to play in Wroclaw!

Stary Klasztor invites you on October 9 to the Gothic Hall for a concert by Żywiołak.

Żywiołak is one of the most recognizable folk bands in Poland. With dozens of performances at home and abroad, the group has earned a reputation as a pioneer of experimental folk.

Żywiołak’s latest album, “Dekonstrukcja Historyczna I”, attempts to uncover forgotten meanings behind well-known holidays and present them in the musical context of native pre-Christian beliefs. It is also an attempt to confront the complex Polish legacy of Slavic mythology.

“Dekonstrukcja Historyczna” is an important voice in the discussion of cultural awareness and a powerful statement on Polish identity, a theme the band has explored consistently since its first album.
