The Real McKenzies – Celtic Punk Rock Star in Wroclaw

wROCKfest.pl invites you on 16 July to Stary Klasztor for a concert by the Canadian-Scottish band THE REAL McKENZIES.

The band was founded in 1992 by the charismatic Scottish punk rock poet Paul McKenzie. This merry band of rascals has spent over a quarter of a century traversing the world to spread the gospel of McKenzies to an ever-growing army of rebels, rogues and troublemakers of all kinds. There are few bands that can boast a career of over 30 years so astonishingly full of adventure, turbulence and madness as The Real McKenzies.

A characteristic feature of their music is the use of Scottish bagpipes and other folk instruments in their songs. The band also frequently draws on classical folk tunes from Scotland, arranging them in a modern style.
