The Most Beautiful Songs of Stanisław Soyka

August marks the first anniversary of the death of Stanisław Soyka, the beloved master of song whose work remains in the hearts of his many admirers.

On August 23 we invite you to a tribute evening of Stanisław Soyka’s most beautiful songs, many of which he himself performed on the very stage of the Gothic Hall at Stary Klasztor.

Songs such as “Absolutnie Nic”, “Cud Niepamięci”, “Są Na Tym Świecie Rzeczy”, “Tak Jak W Kinie”, “Tolerancja” and “Niech Caują Cię Moje Oczy”, along with songs by Czesław Niemen, American jazz standards, and the beloved Disney song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”, are just some of what you’ll hear during the concert.

The musical evening of memories will be led by four Wroclaw vocalists – Monika Wiśniowska-Basel, Wiktoria Zjawiony, Rafał Lach and Krystian Gontarz – accompanied on stage by a band of excellent musicians familiar to audiences from concerts at Stary Klasztor.

Monika Wiśniowska-Basel is a charismatic vocalist known from many concerts on Wroclaw stages. Her voice combines emotional sensitivity with technical freedom, giving every song a personal, authentic character. She effortlessly builds tension and guides the listener through a song’s story, from subtle, intimate moments to powerful climaxes, and is known for her natural stage presence and strong rapport with the audience across pop, soul, jazz and gospel.

Wiktoria Zjawiony represents the young generation of Polish artists, building her identity on the border between pop and alternative music. Her music stands out for its sincerity and emotional honesty, often rooted in personal experience.

Rafał Lach is a Polish musician, composer and vocalist known for his atmospheric, often melancholic sound, with a strong focus on emotion and mood, a calm and slightly hazy vocal style, and soft, spacious guitars.

Krystian Gontarz is a vocalist and songwriter who began his musical journey at age 6 in music school. He plays piano and guitar and is known for his original arrangements and minimalist performances with his own accompaniment, working mainly in pop blended with other genres for a fresh, personal sound that emphasizes emotion, freedom and authenticity. He currently studies stage and jazz vocals at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.
