This year’s Spanish Cinema Fiesta features three fundamental films by Pedro Almodovar: Matador (1986), Law of Desire (1987) and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988). These films cemented his unmistakable style and brought international recognition through intense stories of desire, passion, obsession, betrayal, abandonment, despair and rebirth.
