Slavic Year Lato 2026 – Urban Song Ritual

Slavic Year – Urban Song Ritual was this year’s double laureate of the 46th Actor’s Song Review. The jury unanimously awarded them the Golden Toucan OFF, and the audience — most importantly — awarded them the Audience Toucan.

The competition performances had a limited audience and many people were unable to get tickets. That’s why Slavic Year invite you with great joy to a post-premiere Slavic Year Lato! Together with Pola Pieśni Wrocław and Teatr Capitol, they are creating a unique opportunity for the award-winning show to return to Wrocław as part of the Święto Wrocławia celebrations.

The Urban Song Ritual is a guided musical and performative experience: a space in which everyone can connect with their own voice, immerse themselves in songs chosen to lead you from within outwards — towards community, towards courage, towards what is alive in us. It is a quarterly celebration. You are invited to arrive with whatever no longer serves you, to symbolically offer it to the fire and make room for what wants to blossom within you. To sing out your dreams. To give them direction. To begin making them real.

The performance is something between communal singing, a live concert and a rite of passage — without barriers, without stress. A moment to pause together and, through sound, welcome a new season, reconnect with the rhythms of nature — and with those we carry within.

Shared songs will guide you in symbolically welcoming a new cycle of nature and life. The performance lasts approximately 70 minutes, depending on the energy and flow of the moment. Everyone is welcome (16+) — no musical experience required. All you need is openness and a willingness to share this summer moment together.
