SEDNO — Rura Jazz University
After the summer break, we invite you to the first autumn concert of the RURA JAZZ UNIVERSITY series. This time our club stage welcomes SEDNO, a young Wrocław band combining electronic sound with traditional instruments.
The band’s music has a unique energy built on trance-like repetition, metric loops and bold combinations of diverse styles and textures — from jazz, through minimal techno, to ethnic elements. Its members are professionals with degrees from music academies and extensive experience in almost every genre.
SEDNO won the Jazz Fruit / Mladí ladí jazz competition in Prague (2024) and the Janusz Muniak Award at Jazz Juniors 2025. The musicians have also won numerous awards with other groups, including the Grand Prix of the “Powiew Młodego Jazzu” competition and Jazz nad Odrą awards. They have worked with artists such as Jojo Mayer and Nerve, GrubSon, Wojtek Pilichowski, Sanah, Jarecki, Bednarek, Natalia Zastępa, Katarzyna Groniec, Leszek Możdżer, L.U.C., Grzech Piotrowski, Ewa Bem, Krystyna Prońko and Kasta. In September 2024 the band released an EP.
