On our big screen: “Anniversary” (Rocznica), directed by Jan Komasa – a dark psychological thriller about a family whose apparent calm is shattered by the arrival of their son’s new partner. Liz gradually gains influence over the household, exploiting their weaknesses and deepening existing tensions. The film shows how easily close relationships can be dominated by manipulation, fear, and radical ideas. With each passing anniversary, the family’s conflicts become more visible and harder to resolve. The story is also a commentary on social divisions and the growing power of extreme views.
