Placemaking Week Europe 2026
Join more than 700 urban planners, placemaking specialists, and local community leaders to discuss building a sense of belonging, co-creating the city, urban labs, and resilience — this year’s key themes of the event. The program includes inspiring talks, workshops, and hands-on activities that will help us collectively create public spaces that connect people, meet their needs, and inspire them.
Wrocław is a living laboratory of public space — a city with a rich history where past, present, and future intertwine at every step. It is precisely this openness to change and development that makes Wrocław an exceptional setting for implementing placemaking ideas.
This year, Placemaking Week Europe comes to Wrocław — a city where history meets the future, and where the energy of its streets, squares, and public spaces is created by its residents. It’s a place open to diversity, for both newcomers and long-time residents alike, growing through creativity, collaboration, and a constant exchange of ideas. All of this makes Wrocław an ideal space for Placemaking Week Europe.
This year’s edition will take place in some of Wrocław’s most inspiring venues — from former tram depots and factories repurposed for new uses, to the Wrocław Congress Centre, connected to the legendary Centennial Hall.
Detailed program available on the organizer’s website.
