“Triangle of Sadness” is a Palme d’Or-winning, madcap comedy set aboard a luxury yacht among the world’s richest people. An ocean of champagne, a sea of money, and a captain who always sails against the current (a daring performance from Woody Harrelson!) — that’s how a cruise for our times begins.

Travelling aboard the ship is a celebrity model couple, Carl (Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (Charlbi Dean), but their trip soon stops being Instagram-worthy. A sudden storm sends the seafood back where it came from, wrecks the yacht, and blows apart the entire social hierarchy along with it. This side-splitting film from Ruben Östlund (“The Tourist”, “The Square”), one of Europe’s best directors, is a merciless satire of the wealthy and a brilliant metaphor for our times. We’re all sailing on a ship that set course for disaster long ago. Only laughter can save us!
