OLD BREAKOUT | Concert
OLD BREAKOUT is the reactivation of a legend – a musical initiative by members of the original BREAKOUT lineup, the band founded by Tadeusz Nalepa that became a legend of the Polish blues-rock scene of the 1970s.
In 1970, at Tadeusz Nalepa’s request, Tadeusz Trzciński assembled the lineup for what would become one of the most important albums in the history of Polish blues. The result was the groundbreaking album “Blues Breakout,” recorded by Tadeusz Nalepa (vocals, guitar), Tadeusz Trzciński (harmonica), Dariusz Kozakiewicz (guitar), Jerzy Goleniewski (bass guitar), and Józef Hajdasz (drums), with lyrics by Bogdan Loebl. Trzciński went on to record three more outstanding albums with Nalepa and Kubasińska – “Mira,” “Karate,” and “Ogień” – before going on to handle sound for major festivals (including Sopot, Jazz Jamboree, and Jarocin) and international tours by Poland’s biggest stars, as well as a Ray Charles concert.
