October Dark: Pre-Halloween Live Metal Night Inspired by Peter Steele & Type O Negative.

It’s the end of October. It’s Friday. It’s Wrocław.

Halloween is coming, but the city still pretends it’s about something else.

On 23 October we head down into Klub Muzyczny Liverpool. Four bands. Heavy music. A few hours of noise, darkness, and things that definitely sound better after sunset.

Over it all hangs the spirit of Peter Steele and Type O Negative — music made as if specifically for this time of year. Green light. Black humor. Monumental riffs. A romanticism that rotted long ago but still, somehow, looks good.

It’s no accident we’re doing this here — Liverpool turns 30 this October. Three decades of concerts, iconic rock nights, beer, amps turned up too loud, and generation after generation of people heading underground for music you probably won’t hear at Sunday dinner.

The core of the night is decidedly metal. Dysangelium, Vastness and Deacon will hit mostly death-metal territory, from classic heaviness to more thrash-leaning shades.

Closing the night is Wrocław’s own Lilla Veneda — still deeply rooted in extreme metal but slipping past easy genre labels. Death and black metal intertwine here with industrial, electronics, gothic chill and atmospheric spaces, creating a more eclectic, less obvious face of heavy music.

The sets will also include special nods to Type O Negative.

And when the concerts end, the lights stay down and nobody goes quietly home. We stay. The music shifts toward gothic, industrial, dark wave and alternative, and October Dark runs late into the night.

This is not a tribute show — we’re not trying to resurrect Peter Steele (that would be a bad idea anyway). Instead we take the atmosphere he left behind with Type O Negative and run it through present-day metal Wrocław. The rest happens on the night.
