Over 30 years of a career that began at a kitchen table turned into a desk, and an independent label running mail-order sales. Today it means critical acclaim, gold and platinum records, and more than 14 million copies sold to homes around the world.

Her catalogue includes seven studio albums, three special-occasion live DVDs, and two documentary films. She has won two Juno Awards, the top honor of the Canadian music scene, received two GRAMMY nominations, and performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Loreena McKennitt means a harp and a resonant voice, the quintessence of Irish folk and Celtic sounds wrapped in eclectic electronic and orchestral music. Her work brings to mind the magical series about the noble outlaw of Locksley, and the song that graced a Hollywood production starring Christopher Lambert as the immortal Connor MacLeod. It evokes the endless expanses of the Emerald Isle, mountains, the beauty of life and poetry — all of it audible in her singing and in the band’s sound.

Beyond music, the artist runs her own label and is deeply involved in charity work. Through her foundation she supports cultural, environmental, historical and social groups, and through a fund she established, water-safety education and search-and-rescue efforts. She has received numerous titles, honors and awards for her humanitarian and artistic work.

Anniversary tour

The concert is part of the European “The Mask and The Mirror 30th Anniversary Tour,” covering nine countries and 30 shows, running from February to April 2027.

The tour is dedicated to the 1994 album “The Mask and The Mirror” — one of the most important in the artist’s body of work, considered a breakthrough for its unique blend of Celtic, Spanish and Moroccan influences. McKennitt herself calls it a “historical-musical pilgrimage.” The album has sold more than two million copies worldwide.

The evening’s program will be split into two parts: the first featuring the artist’s best-loved songs, the second a full performance of “The Mask and The Mirror” in its original sequence. She will be joined on stage by outstanding musicians who help create this signature sound.
