Lakeside X is working on a new album with Daniel Myer and Depeche Mode drummer Christian Eigner, and on September 25, 2026 they’ll present a new live show in Wrocław for the first time, featuring new songs — plus a special guest.

Lakeside X is an independent alternative pop/rock band from Prague, moving between synth-pop, modern electronics, and alternative guitar music. Their sound blends melancholy with energy, bold synths with guitars, and the distinctive, gentle vocals of frontman and composer Janne Marvannen. With over twenty years of history, the band has released four studio albums and built a solid place on the European electronic and alternative scene. Lakeside X’s fanbase stretches from the Czech Republic through Germany, Poland, and the UK, all the way to the United States and South America. After returning from hiatus in 2020, the band began working with Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect, Covenant), with whom they released the album “Love Disappears” (2022), promoted with a series of singles and a successful release show at Lucerna Music Bar in Prague.

Lakeside X is a sought-after live act — they’ve supported Depeche Mode (Prague, 2023), shared stages with And One, Front 242, and Suicide Commando, and appeared at major festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen, NCN Leipzig, Schwarze Ball (CH), EXIT Festival (RS), and Rock for People (CZ). In 2025 the band played almost 40 shows across Europe — the UK, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic — cementing their strong international club and festival presence. For 2026, Lakeside X is preparing a new studio album, once again with producer Daniel Myer and drummer Christian Eigner, written with a clear focus on live performance and continued international touring.

Special guest: Hiroszyma — a leading name in Polish darkwave, formerly co-leader of the now-defunct band Das Moon. In 2021, Requiem Records released his critically and publicly acclaimed debut album “Inside Isolation”. This January saw the release of his long-awaited second album, “Room 237” — a dose of dark melodies with a sharp danceable beat and depressive lyrics, echoing artists like Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, and Miss Kittin. Hiroszyma has performed alongside acts including Empathy Test, Covenant, NNHMN, Selofan, and Ultra Sunn, and has played Castle Party festival and Berlin’s legendary Schokoladen club. Tracks from his new album have been featured on Piotr Stelmach’s show on Radio 357. His latest single and video, “Glass”, is steeped in the pain of a breakup.
