L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Film Orchestra – OSTATNI TANIEC

For the very last time in Wrocław, an exceptional repertoire will resound – music from the film The Peasants (Chłopi) performed by the outstanding artists of the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra under the baton of the soundtrack’s composer and producer Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski. The concert will be accompanied by a phenomenal, animated painting.

After a spectacular tour lasting several years, the music’s author and the artists are bidding farewell to the project – this is the last chance to experience this exceptional spectacle. The programme of the Wrocław concert includes both instrumental pieces and songs composed especially for the painted screen adaptation of Władysław Reymont’s novel – a work combining the aesthetics of the Young Poland movement with the unique cinematic language of the creators of the Oscar-nominated Loving Vincent (Twój Vincent). It will be an exceptional meeting of music and image, revealing the richness of sounds inspired by the roots of Eastern Europe. The whole will be complemented by extraordinary multimedia staging that will transport viewers into the world of one of the most talked-about Polish productions of recent years.

The soundtrack to the film The Peasants became the most popular soundtrack in the history of Polish cinema – with over sixty million streams and views. It won the most important awards, including the Fryderyk and the Eagle (Orzeł), and was also Poland’s Oscar candidate in two categories. The album went platinum in just three months and swept audiences across the country off their feet, among other things thanks to the viral #jesientancuj challenge. This concert will let you feel that energy, emotion and magic of this exceptional production once again.
