Koncert jubileuszowy Piwnicy pod Baranami – 70 lat legendy

Evenings at the Piwnica leave audiences with the sense of having touched something unrepeatable – history and poetry served in a unique, Kraków style. This anniversary concert marking seventy years is an encounter with a legend that still lives on stage.

Since 1956, Piwnica pod Baranami has been one of the most important artistic phenomena of post-war Poland. Founded by Piotr Skrzynecki in the ‚Pod Baranami” Palace, it quickly became a space that drew people of culture and audiences hungry for freedom of imagination. Over the years it was associated with great names – from Ewa Demarczyk and Anna Szałapak, through Grzegorz Turnau, to the poets and artists who gave the place its legendary standing. Today, successive generations keep that spirit alive, proving that tradition is not a memory but a living experience.

To mark its seventieth anniversary, ‚Piwnica” artists of different generations will meet on one stage to tell – through song – of times past and of what lies ahead. The audience will hear the greatest hits and the songs that shaped the Piwnica’s recognisable style over the decades: a blend of poetry, intelligent wit, nostalgia and warmth. It will be an evening in which familiar refrains return like long-unseen friends.
