Hirjjo — the band was born from a teenage urge to play post-punk, rock-fuelled passion, raw and emotional noise, and sung songs with baffling lyrics and infantile, broken melodies laced with generational brain rot. Since their first meeting in March 2023, Hirjjo have been clumsily tuning, detuning, composing, decomposing, recomposing and mistuning guitars, drums, bass and vocals, culminating in the release of their debut tape “Blunder” in November 2025 on SYF Records and LAÅUDE. Suczy Napar — with tongues out, hands to our temples. A rescued greyhound and heart on sleeve. We bark a siren song over the ocean, foaming waves going bubble-bubble. Our music is part ballad, part noise, part siren, and part Kuyavian-Pomeranian staccato doom pony-grindcore. Hubert Kostkiewicz — a guitarist whose distinctive “physical” style took shape in the band Kurws. He also plays in the post-punk group Atol Atol Atol, and has played several hundred concerts in his life. Outside his bands he indulges his fascination with musique concrète, electroacoustic and improvised music, seeking articulations born from limitations, from imperfections in performance and notation. He usually pursues this through electric guitar, but also reaches for acoustic instruments, processed field recordings and dub mixes. He has toured widely (Europe, Russia, Japan), collaborated with the Japanese trio Kukangendai (concerts at Avant Art Festival and Unsound), Arnold de Boer (ZEA, The Ex), Ken Vandermark, Mikołaj Trzaska, Łukasz Rychlicki (Lotto, Kristen) and Piotr Łyszkiewicz (in the duo Spoons & Bones). He practises free improvisation in various line-ups.
