
Ethno Jazz Festival: Kinga Glyk Live in Wroclaw
A rising star of Polish jazz visits Wroclaw at the invitation of the Ethno Jazz Festival. Kinga Glyk usually performs abroad, but this time she will meet her fans on 31 May at a concert at Stary Klasztor.
Kinga Glyk is a bassist and composer with a uniquely funky sound, one of the most compelling personalities in young jazz. She has five original albums to her name: Rejestracja, Happy Birthday, Dream, Feelings and Real Life. The artist uses improvisation to merge jazz with modern electronic groove. She has performed from European stages and the North Sea Jazz Festival, through the beaches of Brazil and the Blue Note Rio de Janeiro, to the islands of Japan and Expo in Osaka.
Her track Joy Joy has amassed over 1.5 million views on YouTube, and her bass arrangement of Tears in Heaven has reached an impressive 20 million plays – proof that Kinga captivates audiences around the world.
