Programme:
Edyta Geppert is known for the great care with which she builds her repertoire. Her precisely directed recitals are a rare opportunity to hear true gems of the Polish literary song.
Among the lyricists whose work the artist performs we find: Magda Czapińska, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jacek Cygan, Marek Dagnan, Jerzy Ficowski, Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski, Andrzej Poniedzielski and Jan Kazimierz Siwek, and among the composers: Henryk Alber, Włodzimierz Korcz, Seweryn Krajewski and Andrzej Rybiński.
Edyta Geppert’s recital is the fruit of interpretive artistry and an extraordinary ability to create sharply contrasted moods: lyrical songs are juxtaposed with dramatic ones, and dramatic ones with funny, even cabaret pieces – the latter set to lyrics by the master of the genre, Marian Hemar. It is a guarantee of the kind of emotions that only a few artists, gifted with true charisma, can deliver to an audience.
