CZAD // Klub Szalonych Photo Exhibition
September 13 (Opening // Start: 6:00 PM). Free admission — feel free to chip in something toward keeping the den running (enter at your own risk).
On the program: Opening / Performance / Jam Session.
If you’ve had any contact with us before, you know exactly what CZAD (a Polish word for wild, reckless energy) means. CZAD is when we break every record and cross every line. Piotr Wariatowiec’s crew loves to bring the CZAD. But CZAD is also a gas that quietly and slowly seeps out of our basement straight into the whole city. We soak into WrocÅ‚aw’s spaces, infecting you with ourselves, our energy and everything we get up to. Once you’ve crossed paths with Klub Szalonych, you don’t go home the same person.
This exhibition is a chance to look deeper into the world of Piotr Wariat and his crew — to see what Klub Szalonych really is beyond the loud events, who’s behind it all, and what our everyday backstage looks like. We want to talk about what used to happen at the old Melina, what’s happening now in the new place, which characters pass through our doors, and how much heart and work goes into this space.
Expect an evening full of impressions. We’ll start with the photos themselves and the stories they carry — time to calmly look at the shots, reminisce, check out our walls, and just chat with us without the noise of a concert. Later, expect a live performance featuring our visual artists (and you!). The evening will close with a Jam Session — the thing that’s most truly ours: live, raw improvisation with no script and no set songs. Everyone is welcome to join in and play with us.
One small note: the roles are reversed that day. We want our photographers to be on the other side of the lens for once, so bring your cameras and phones — this time, you’re the ones taking the photos.
