Closterkeller – reCYAN Tour 2026 | Wrocław

Closterkeller plays “CYAN” in Wrocław!

To mark the 30th anniversary of “CYAN”, the band has prepared a special project including a new release, “reCYAN”, and a “reCYAN Tour 2026”. “reCYAN” is a newly recorded version of the album “CYAN”, which, thanks to this re-release, will once again be available on CD after many years, and for the first time will also reach streaming services. At the concerts we’ll hear not only tracks from “CYAN”, but also the most important compositions from Closterkeller’s whole body of work, including from last year’s album “ARGENTO”.

30 years ago Closterkeller released an album that became a symbol of artistic courage, exploration and openness to new sounds. “CYAN” was not an attempt to repeat the success of the albums “VIOLET” (1993) and “SCARLET” (1995). Instead of following expectations and the trend for ever-heavier playing, the band consciously chose its own path, creating an album that, three decades on, still sounds fresh and remains for many fans one of the most important in Closterkeller’s catalogue. “CYAN” opened up completely new musical spaces for the band – full of analogue synthesizers, moody compositions, electronic inspirations and a distinctive, magnetic atmosphere.

Closterkeller’s fifth album brought the cult track “Władza” (“Power”), which reached the top of the legendary Trójka radio chart and remains to this day one of the band’s most recognizable songs, its message having lost none of its relevance over the years. “CYAN”, however, is above all an extremely diverse album – from dark, monumental compositions such as “Cisza w jej domu” (“Silence in Her House”), through the industrial-postpunk “Klepsydra” (“Hourglass”), to the surprisingly catchy “Ziemia obiecana” (“Promised Land”). The title “CYAN” on one hand refers to a computer shade of blue, and on the other to a highly toxic chemical compound with a deceptively pleasant smell. This duality perfectly captures the album’s character – beautiful and dreamy, but also telling of toxic feelings, fear, passing and emotions that can both fascinate and poison at once. Just listen to the title track, or the moving “Roszpunka” (“Rapunzel”), this time without a fairy-tale happy ending.
