Instead of just showcasing their debut album, the band’s powerful 2024 live performance evolved on the fly into brand-new material.

This fresh sound gave birth to the latest release from a project widely acclaimed as one of the most exciting forces on the Polish electronic scene in recent years.

From biting frost to a state of fever. Zima Stulecia attacks this summer with a new EP, 36,6°C.

From the cold regions of their Fryderyk-winning debut album Minus 30°C, we move straight into a state of burning fever. The duo Zima Stulecia returns with new material, a sonic study of human thermoregulation.

It begins at the temperature of a healthy body, and with every passing minute and every track inevitably leads the listener into a state of deep hyperthermia. The club EP 36,6°C will be released on 28 August 2026 via Astigmatic Records.

When Cancer G and Latarnik released their debut album Minus 30°C in February 2023, they took listeners on a nostalgic, frosty journey back to their own teenage years. It was an expedition to the era of pirated VHS tapes with unforgettable action-movie and B-movie soundtracks, bought at bazaars next to German household chemicals and foreign sweets. At the same time, it was an era of the increasingly bold expansion of electronic music, which magnetized a new generation and drew people to clubs springing up across the country.

The melancholic and raw character of Zima Stulecia’s studio recordings, however, began to melt almost immediately upon meeting a live audience. The material from the debut practically demanded to be performed live – ideally in a space unapologetically ruled by techno and house. Every subsequent performance became an opportunity to reshape the compositions, extend their forms and shift the emphasis towards club energy, ultimately generating entirely new tracks that took shape before the audience’s eyes and ears.

The turning point came at a concert on 10 February 2024 at the iconic Wrocław club Ciało. What was meant to be a stage presentation of familiar material instantly transformed into an autonomous, collective improvisation. In the dense club air, driven by the audience’s energy, the tracks from Minus 30°C began to mutate, expand and evolve into entirely new forms. The bodies of the musicians and listeners together generated heat that raised the creative temperature to the level of the human body – and far beyond it. That’s precisely when the material was born that ultimately took the form of the 36,6°C EP.

A few months later, Zima Stulecia was honored with a Fryderyk award in the Electronic Music category for their debut album, confirming their position as one of the most interesting new projects on the Polish electronic scene.

The 36,6°C EP will be released on 28 August 2026 via Astigmatic Records. It’s a living record of the sonic evolution that took place before the audience gathered at Ciało club.

The day after, the club will also host the mini-album’s release party. The record will be released on vinyl in a strictly limited, hellish run of 666 copies. It will simultaneously be available on all streaming services.
