Zbyszek “Levandek” Lewandowski — one of the finest Polish jazz drummers, a bandleader, teacher and Wrocław legend, active on the scene for 60 years. Born on 17 September 1951 in Chojnice, he has been the pillar and soul of Sami Swoi, Big Band Wrocław, Spisek Sześciu, Ryszard Misiek’s Septet, Crash, String Connection (founding line-up), Alex Band, Three Generations Trio, The High Bred Jazz Trio, the Zbigniew Lewandowski Quartet and Quintet — and even Czerwono-Czarni!
