BIG CLASSICS is a series of events dedicated to hip-hop’s roots – the artists and music that built the culture. A continuation of the story that started it all.

This summer in Wroclaw we return to the source – on stage: special guests from Los Angeles – Dilated Peoples, the legendary crew that for years perfectly balanced underground and mainstream without losing its DNA.

Evidence, Rakaa and DJ Babu created one of the most recognisable line-ups of the West Coast – with classics including “Worst Comes To Worst” (featuring Guru from Gang Starr), “This Way” and “Back Again”. Their catalogue is the essence of conscious, uncompromising rap from the turn of the ’90s and 2000s.

Albums The Platform, Expansion Team, Neighborhood Watch and Directors of Photography show how consistently they developed their style, remaining true to the sound that made them famous. Dilated Peoples’ return to Poland is another chapter in this story.
