Bella Ciao – The Best Italian Hits, performed by Nicola Palladini & Band

On 25 September, Stary Klasztor invites you to an evening with the greatest hits of Italian song. The concert “Bella Ciao”, performed by the Italian musical-theatre actor Nicola Palladini, is a musical journey full of humour through the culture, customs and curiosities of sunny Italy.

Together with him, and accompanied by three outstanding musicians, the audience will have the chance to sing the songs most loved by Polish audiences, such as “Mamma Maria”, “Tu vuo’ fa l’americano”, “O’ sole mio”, “Italo Disco”, “Felicità”, “Volare”, the title “Bella Ciao”, “Marina”, “Sarà perché ti amo”, “Quando Quando”, “Sempre Sempre” and many, many more.

After the great success of the show “Ciao Ciao Bambina”, with which he has toured Poland in recent years, Nicola returns with a brand-new musical project and the baggage of fifteen years of life and musical experience gained in the country on the Vistula, understanding the Polish view of Italian music, of Italians and their culture. Italian melodies, and above all singing together, will be the vehicle for a shared journey to this beautiful, but sometimes controversial, country.

Nicola Palladini is an Italian musical-theatre actor and vocalist. In 2005 he graduated from the musical academy in Rome. In Italy he performed in musicals such as “Welcome to the Machine”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “Marcellino”, “Mary of Nazareth”, “The Rocky Horror Show” and “Grease”. He made his Polish stage debut in the role of the Master of Ceremonies in Andrzej M. Marczewski’s production of “Cabaret” at the Witkacy New Theatre in Słupsk. He later appeared at the Musical Theatre in Poznań as Fred in “Kiss Me, Kate”, at the Powszechny Theatre in Radom in “Fiddler on the Roof”, and at the Musical Theatre in Łódź in the rock opera “Jesus Christ Superstar”, taking on two roles – King Herod and Judas. As actor/director he made a hugely successful debut (over 350 performances throughout Poland) in the musical monodrama inspired by the life and career of Marino Marini, “Ciao Ciao Bambina”, going on to create further productions such as “d:AMORE”, “I Love You, Broadway”, “La Dolce Vita” and “Italo Disco”.
