Baczynski-Miranda Ensemble / JAZZTOTA

Baczynski-Miranda Ensemble – a group formed by the Polish drummer Filip Baczynski and the Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Pedro Miranda – seek, through rhythm and harmony, to cross cultural borders. Their music is a unique hybrid drawing on the musical tradition of Minas Gerais (Brazil), traditional Afro-Brazilian rhythms and the dark mood of Polish jazz. The band’s sound spans both free modal compositions and rich soundscapes, marked by a wealth of dialogue between guitar, piano and drums.
