In October 2027, Poland will be visited by Andreas Vollenweider – Swiss composer, harp virtuoso and one of the most famous instrumentalists in the world. The artist will come to our country as part of the eagerly awaited The Journey tour, once again presenting audiences with his legendary music spanning five decades of his career!

For nearly half a century, Andreas Vollenweider has delighted millions of people around the world. To this day, listeners from every corner of the globe gather to experience his concerts together. So what is the secret of this music, which seems to resist the passage of time? At the outset of his artistic path, in the mid-1970s, the audience’s enthusiastic reception was attributed to the particular spirit of that moment in history. Even then, The New York Times noted that this music contained a “deeply positive escape from reality” – and it may be that precisely there lies the key to its undiminished popularity. Although the social and cultural realities have changed, this art has endured, uniting successive generations of listeners. Vollenweider himself reflects on the present day: “Especially today, when we are all confronting troubling events over which we have no real influence, we subconsciously seek moments of respite. We need to rediscover and strengthen within ourselves that deeply rooted, primal trust in life. I believe this healing power lies at the very essence of music. For me, the world of sound has always been a personal survival strategy.”

Planned for 2027, The Journey tour is, for the seventy-three-year-old artist, a return to the key stages of his rich creative path. The exceptional versatility and virtuosity of the five-piece ensemble make it possible to achieve on stage a full, deep sound rivalling the potential of a symphony orchestra. The sounds of Vollenweider’s harp – powerful yet extraordinarily subtle – enchant with hypnotic rhythm, deep bass, crystalline clarity and the intimate closeness of the melody. The accompanying instruments fit in perfectly, giving the whole an almost mystical dimension.
