Alcest + Agriculture

Alcest, a band exceptionally well-loved in our country, is one of a kind and perhaps one of the last truly original metal bands. Their blackgaze is both moving and cathartic, giving vent to every frustration or inner struggle. The French band’s shows will be opened by practitioners of “ecstatic black metal” from Agriculture.

ALCEST (France) — blackgaze, post-rock: Pretty much single-handedly invented blackgaze, and remain leaders of the niche to this day. Neige is a man who knows exactly what he’s doing — he knows precisely how the worlds of soothing melody and black-metal nerve should intertwine. Alcest shows are an emotional catharsis — see for yourself.

AGRICULTURE (USA) — blackgaze, post-metal: They describe their music as “ecstatic black metal”, and they really can bring you to a state of ecstasy. Agriculture throw a lot into the mix: darkness, post-metal, noise rock, shoegaze… never a dull moment.
