3Hz | Niche Product: Ceramic Sound System

Not everything valuable happens on the biggest stages. Sometimes the best evenings start with a message sent to a friend five minutes before the first track. 3Hz collects these kinds of evenings — from late August to December, moving between Barbara, Recepcja, and Klub pod Kolumnami, three venues run by the Wrocław Institute of Culture.

Niche Product: Ceramic Sound System — What does ceramics sound like? Can clay become a material that shapes not just space, but sound too? At this meeting devoted to the Tubatek installation, its creators discuss their original ceramic-sound system, an alternative to conventional design and material solutions.

The project’s creators will talk about how the installation was made and the possibilities of using clay as a resonating material. Thanks to its unique plastic and acoustic properties, ceramics becomes a medium for experiencing space in a new way — through sound, form and vibration.
